On Saturday, we learned that eternal pursuits are better than obvious preferences.
We want things to be obvious and visible, but in our relationship with God, it often seems the opposite. To help us understand our relationship with God better, we need to know who God is by spending time getting to know Him (ie. reading the Bible, and attending church). And when we do that, we will also start to know who we are in Him and start shifting our focus from pursuing the obvious earthly things to pursuing the heavenly eternal things.
Remember, we may not always understand why certain things happen in our lives but whatever happens, we know we can fully trust God is still guiding us on the best path that is most good.
