For a lot of us, our frustrations with God comes down to unmet expectations. When we discover that there’s an all-loving, all-powerful God out there, we immediately think about how He’s going to help us live the happiest version of our life. We know how we want our lives to go, and we expect God to help us get there. And so when God doesn't do things our way a lot of us feel disappointed, angry, and resentful towards Him. We think of God as our Uber driver who exists to take us to our preferred destination and when He doesn’t, we give Him one star.

But what if we’re thinking too small about what God can do in our lives? What if we need to elevate our expectations? In this series, we’re learning to see our expectations of God through the lens of the gospel.

Week 1: God wants more for you than you do.
Week 2: God is taking you to His destination, not the other way around.
Week 3: Eternal pursuits are better than obvious preferences.
Week 4: You may get your way along the way.

Over the 4 weeks, the youth will discover that having gospel-centred expectations of God will allow us to discover there's more to us, to Him, and more to life than we've ever thought possible.
