Elevate (Week 1)

Hi Youths,

On Saturday we started a new series called Elevate. Through the first week of Elevate, we learned that God wants more for you than you do.

A lot of times when we think of a powerful and loving God, we think He should do whatever we want Him to do for us. But when He doesn't, we feel disappointed and sometimes even get mad at Him because of our unmet expectations.

But the truth is, God has great plans for you as you can find in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  So we can trust that God wants the best for us and sometimes when we don't get our way, maybe it is because God has bigger plans for us. 

Through this series, let us learn how to elevate our expectations of what God is doing in our lives.
