The Past and The Future

In life, there are pain, hardship, difficulty, suffering, accidents, and tragedies.

When those undesired circumstances do happen, how do we face them “like a man”?

Often, we would ask the question, Why? But more often than not, only left with more unanswered questions.

How does the Christian faith empower us in times as such?

In 2 Timothy 4:1-5, Paul gave Timothy his last words, advice, and charge, knowing he was near the end of his life.

This charge is to become Timothy, and ours, operating structure — the framework of our Christian life.

“I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and
teaching… always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

Resiliency, the framework that sustains all of life.
