Hi Youths,
This week we learned that anxiety is like a kettle, with anxiety itself as the whistle that sounds when the water boils. Although the whistle is loud, noticeable, and feels urgent, it is actually the heat that is causing the whistle. The whistle is veiled heat. The heat is actually more dangerous and influential than the whistle. This means that the best way to deal with the whistle is actually to focus on the heat, not the whistle itself.
What you need is for Jesus to get deeper into your heart and start to deal with the heat, that’s causing the anxiety.
This week, I encourage you to pray and journal. Invite God to show you what is the true reason for your anxiety, what is the heat in your heart? Write down your thoughts and prayers in a journal as you and Jesus start to deal with the heat in your heart.
