When the church faces an impossible mission to do, an unscalable mountain to climb, what do we do? How do we overcome it?
4 Promises that Jesus gave to his followers:
Truly, truly, I say to you,
1) whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do;
2) and greater (things) than these will he do,
3) because I am going to the Father (I will send another Helper to be with you forever.)
4) Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do,
that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
5 Concrete actions to claim the promise:
1) Remember the promise - memorize John 14:12-13
2) Commit to joining prayer meetings to pray for the church
3) Pray for the church regularly
a) In your own time,
b) before the service,
c) for each other,
d) as a prayer team?
4) Pray specifically and boldly
5) Write down the prayer, watch for God’s work
All things are possible for those who believe;
Great things are possible for those who pray.
