MESSAGE SUMMARY
I am a Christian but I cannot stop sinning.
- I call myself a Christian, but I still keep sinning.
- I told myself: it's okay as I am only human
- I thought God gives us freedom to choose what to do
Why do I willfully sin?
- I want it, and I want it now.
- Everyone is doing it, so I will do it too.
- I don't think I will get caught, so I do it.
You are either in the light or in the darkness.
- The reality is: there is no in-between.
- You are either a child of God or a child of the devil.
- As a child of God, our actions should reflect our Father in heaven.
What can I do?
- Confess
- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
- To allow our whole life to be exposed to the light.
- Renounce
- Renounce = to refuse to follow
- We need to renounce the hold that sin has on us.
- To walk away from darkness and walk into the light.
