MESSAGE SUMMARY

It’s been one full year since we last worshipped in person.

• Do you remember what worship was like before the pandemic?
• Do you remember what worship was like In church, conferences or concerts?
• Do you remember what people say about worship a year ago?

What does worship look like now?
Why is worship so different now?
Why is it so difficult to engage in worship now?

Is it because of the place of worship? The location of worship?
Surely the location of worship is different, but is the location of worship the determining factor for engagement in worship?

John on the island of Patmos was able to engage in worship, despite the worship atmosphere and location being anything but ideal. How was he able to engage in worship?

When he saw Jesus, he worshipped.
If we saw Jesus, we would worship as well. Worship would be automatic.

The issue of worship then is not our location, but our vision.
It’s because we are not seeing God that’s why we have difficulty engaging in worship.

And this is why the book of Revelation was written: to let us see.
Revelation is a book that deals with the issue of worship, and its primary command to deal with worship is: Behold!

It’s by seeing that we worship.
If we saw the vision in Revelation 4, we would not be able to stop worshipping, just like the living creatures.

Sunday service is a window that opens to heaven.
We ought to fix our eyes on that open window and look at God.
When we worship, we also ask God to reveal more of himself to us.
When we look at God, we find what we are looking for.
That’s why we worship.
That’s how we worship.
