Message Summary

In these times of darkness and challenge, what are you going to remember at the end of it all?
Are you going to recall the impact? Recall the deaths and infections? Recall that you were protected?
Or are you going to recall something else?

Looking at how Paul encouraged the Churches in Corinth to give generously, we can learn from the example he used.
The churches in Macedonia were in "severe test of affliction" and "extreme poverty", but they were "abundant in joy" and "overflowed in wealth of generosity".
Paul went on to say that the churches in Macedonia, gave according to their means and beyond.
The reason that they were able to do so is because of one thing.

That is in verse 9 - For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

Jesus Christ is the reason that they were able to give more, and the reason that they were able to go beyond.
Their actions reflected and showed the love that they have received so richly from Christ.

Looking at the Macedonian Churches, we turn to our current situation.
What are we going to do now?
Are we going to give generously as well even in these times?
The encouragement is to give first and then pray for those we are giving to.
Join us to give to those around us.
