Scripture: John 3:1-16, Ezekiel 36:25-27
We might have material achievements, we might have status, we might have financial stability, but we might not have fulfillment in our lives.
There is a deep sense of longing for something that will fill us and complete us.
Some have searched for it in their entire lives and not find it, yet there is a path that leads us toward fulfillment in our lives.
From the story of Nicodemus, we are shown that we have a chance at having the fulfillment that we are looking for.
New Paper vs Old Paper
Each of us have our past pride, past achievements, past burdens written on our paper to describe who we are.
When we grasp the chance of being fulfilled that is offered by Jesus, we are given a new piece of paper to work on.
When we say yes to following Jesus, we are allowing ourselves to give up our old paper and to receive a new one.
Give Up? Say Yes?
Instead of giving up, think of it as saying yes.
There are many different ways that we can say yes to Jesus.
Nicodemus said yes and he embarked on his journey of faith.
We all can achieve the same thing if we say yes.
