What is recklessness?
– Recklessness is the willful negligence of one’s identity and calling.
How does recklessness work?
– At its core is the thinking that you can keep a small area of darkness to yourself, as long as you have it under control; it doesn’t harm anyone; you are performing your duty; and it is contained; then you should be able to get away with it.
Our identity and calling
– He (God) chose us in him (Christ) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he (God) predestined us for adoption to himself as sons (and daughters) through Jesus Christ … (Ephesians 1:4-5)

Walk as you are called
– I (Paul) … urge you to walk (meaning: to live) in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called… (Ephesians 4:1)
Walk as children of light
– But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you … For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous, has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. (Ephesians 5:3,5)
