Emily is an associate staff in Children and Youth Ministry. Her role involves planning the Saturday school curriculum and coming up with fun activities for toddlers and preschoolers in Karpos. She's also responsible for arranging meaningful activities for Cantonese Youth Oikos. Her goal is helping the children and youth to walk in obedience to the commands of Christ through a Christ-centered relationship.
Emily was born and raised in Hong Kong. She moved to Edmonton during her last year of high school. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in Elementary Education. For a few years, she worked as a teacher at a Christian Montessori School. This job helped her grasp child development better and fueled her passion for making learning enjoyable and purposeful.
Emily and her husband, Calvin, have a toy poodle named Yoshi. They love taking Yoshi for outdoor adventures to enjoy the beautiful nature created by God. Emily also enjoys singing, hanging out with friends, and playing board games.
