Dear Church…
Over the past six weeks, we have journeyed through Jesus' letters to the seven churches in Revelation, realizing that His warnings—addressing abandoned first love, tolerated unholy behaviour, selective obedience, and lukewarm complacency—are not historical footnotes but a direct message for us today. This series calls us to wake up from spiritual slumber and honestly examine our actions before the Lord.
“Have we made any urgent changes in response to Jesus’ warnings?”
At the heart of this message is repentance. True repentance is not merely feeling sorry, apologizing, or experiencing temporary guilt; it requires a deep, heartbreaking sorrow over sin that sparks an urgent, decisive behavioural change. Repentance is a matter of life and death because it determines our eternal destiny. As depicted through the escalating warnings of the seals, trumpets, and bowls, a rebellious world repeatedly refused to turn back, leading ultimately to final judgement.
Take Jesus’ Return Seriously and Repent Now.
The good news is that we are not destined for destruction. Through His blood, Jesus has redeemed us, making the Church His bride, with the promise of eternal fellowship at the marriage supper of the Lamb in a renewed heaven and earth.
Let’s take Jesus' return seriously, respond immediately with true repentance, and faithfully prepare ourselves to stand blameless before our Groom.
