Matthew 1:18-23

Have you ever thought that the first Christmas took place at an unexpected time and manner?

Neither Mary nor Joseph would expect God using them to fulfill His promise among the Israelites. It was the promise about "Emmanuel" (God with us) through the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Although the birth of Jesus was beyond anyone's expectation, God had already anticipated to fulfill His promise through Mary and Joseph.

What matter most is not our own expectation, but God's. He anticipated to love us deeply, even to the end.

What was your expectation about Christmas this year?

In addition to gifts, meals, and parties, please reserve some quiet time for yourself during the holiday, recalling the Christmas story and reflecting on the life changes you have experienced from His salvation.
