Rev. Wilbur Fong

Wilbur is the Teaching Pastor at KEC. He cofounded the church with Joshua in 2006. His calling includes preaching and teaching, developing ministry, and mentoring leaders. The greatest reward of his work comes from listening to stories of how God has transformed people’s lives.

Wilbur studied Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Southampton, U.K. He worked as a Software Engineer in the U.S. upon graduation. After 10 years in the software industry, he moved to Vancouver with his family to study at Regent College. Wilbur met Joshua in one of the courses they had taken together in 2005. Koinonia was started in July, 2006. Throughout the past decade, he has experienced God more deeply through the challenges in ministry. Wilbur felt blessed having been called to this vocation.

Wilbur is married to Ava. They have three children. He enjoys reading on the topic of leadership and ministry development. Wilbur collects Lego Star Wars sets. (No, he doesn’t have the Millennium Falcon… yet.) He enjoys good food with friends and family.
