Elaine was born and raised in Hong Kong. Her music journey started at age 5 with her first piano lesson and children’s choir audition. She came to Vancouver after high school and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at UBC. She also studied voice and choir conducting and completed the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Grade 10 Voice practical exam in Mezzo-Soprano.
In 2012, she started joining worship service at Koinonia and began to serve in music and Karpos children’s ministry. She became one of the worship leaders in 2018 and joined the staff team in October 2021.
Elaine lives in Richmond with her husband Dennis and has two daughters. She works in the administration at a counseling clinic. She loves to work out and enjoy good food.
