Can we follow Jesus on our own? Do we need to connect with a church? What is the significance of belonging to a Christian community?
Jesus prayed for us to be One, united just like the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are in unity. Without unity, the greatest salvation event in history would not have been accomplished! The same for our faith, we are not meant to be alone when following Jesus.
The “One” series is on the topic of unity presented through the lens of the gospel. This series will teach us about the importance of unity, what is needed for unity, where it is found and the hope that will help us in sustaining unity. Through exploring this topic, youth will learn to recognize the importance of a united community in a church and how God's kingdom is built through the unity of us as followers of Jesus.
Week 1: The one we pray to, prayed that we would be One : Kingdom is built through the unity of its people
Week 2: The more I love Jesus, the more I will love who Jesus loves : Jesus died for people you don't see eye to eye with
Week 3: Unity is found in community : The gospel mission itself requires unity between the Trinity
Week 4: When the Groom returns, He wants His Bride unified : Jesus is coming back for His Bride
This principle of unity is so important that Jesus prayed for this principle to be nurtured and protected by God in His last prayer before He was crucified. Join us in December as we unpack this important truth.
