If suffering makes us feel like our lives become a scrambled pile of puzzle pieces, the gospel will act like the corner puzzle pieces for us to try to piece our lives back together. In this series, we will explore and understand the meaning of suffering.

Week 1: Why do bad things happen to good people?
Week 2: It can be easy to believe that the reason for our suffering is because God is punishing us for being bad.
Week 3: Suffering can change us in bad ways. Is there a way out of suffering?
Week 4: Hurt people hurt people. Is it the only way of life?

We may not always discover the reason why bad things happen in our lives, but the gospel gives us a solid foundation where we can start to understand suffering. We hope our students will discover the following Biblical truths to help them navigate the reality of suffering in their lives.
(1) There are no good people. Romans 3:9-12
(2) Your specific pain is not your specific punishment. Jeremiah 31:31-34
(3) Suffering leads to surrender. 2 Corinthians 1:8-9
(4) Your suffering can become someone else’s redemption Galatians 3:13
